Hold the Line

By the Spirit
Let me tell you something that will separate the men from the boys, the sons from the spectators, and the ones who have tasted blood from the ones who only sip milk. It is this. You have got to hold the line.
I am not here to stroke your ego or cater to your excuses. I have lost too many friends to the gospel, stood over too many broken bodies, and seen too many devils to pat you on the back for surviving. Survival is not the goal. Victory is. And victory comes to the ones who refuse to move, who plant their feet and stare hell in the eyes without blinking.
We are in a war. Not a metaphor. Not a Sunday School flannelgraph with felt sheep and plastic swords. This is real. Demons are not fairytales. Martyrs are not myths. And the gospel is not a good idea. It is the power of God unto salvation, and it demands blood, sweat, and guts from those who claim to carry it.
The Problem With Comfort
Most of you have been raised in padded pews with pacified preaching. You have been told that breakthrough comes with a gentle song and that warfare is a season. Well, I have got news for you. The devil does not take seasons off, and neither do soldiers. He prowls day and night, and we are told to be sober and vigilant, not soft and sentimental.
Comfort has become your drug. And like all drugs, it numbs your senses until you cannot tell the difference between a Holy Ghost shout and a TikTok trend. But those who change the world are not drunk on comfort. They are possessed by fire.
You cannot cast out what you are still entertaining. You cannot rebuke a demon you are sleeping with. And you cannot claim victory when you refuse to pick up your sword.
What Does It Mean to Hold the Line
To hold the line is to not move when everything in you wants to run. It is standing in the middle of a war zone, blood on your face, arrows flying, demons screaming, and you just square your shoulders and growl back in tongues.
Holding the line means you know the Word is true, even when your circumstances lie to you. It means when your family walks out, when the tumor does not shrink, when the finances dry up, and when the devil whispers, Where is your God now, you do not move.
You do not back down.
You do not flinch.
You do not give the devil the satisfaction.
You stand.
Paul said in Ephesians 6 verse 13, Having done all, to stand. Not to waver. Not to collapse in a corner singing about your wilderness. Stand.
We have got too many people waiting for a move of God when they are the move of God. You are not supposed to sit around waiting on a breakthrough. You are supposed to break things. Break curses. Break cycles. Break the silence with the sound of heaven roaring through your lungs.
The Spirit That Raises the Dead
I have stood in places where the witch doctors cursed my name. I have watched people foam at the mouth, levitate, and contort under demonic power. I have felt death slither around my bed like a snake. And I did not run.
Why? Because I know who I am. I know who lives in me. And I know that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, He lives in me.
And if He lives in me, I do not have permission to retreat. I do not have permission to fear. And I certainly do not have permission to lose.
You want to see the dead raised? Then you better get ready to die first. Because until you are dead to fear, dead to comfort, and dead to your reputation, you will never see resurrection power.
The Price of This Gospel
This gospel will cost you everything. I have lost friends who refused to bow. I have walked miles to preach to a single soul. I have gone without sleep, without food, and without applause.
And I would do it again. Because this gospel is worth it.
You want miracles? Stop waiting for your pastor to stir you up and start fasting until your flesh screams. You want awakening? Stop blaming the culture and start burning until demons flee from your presence. You want breakthrough? Then break your own walls down and hold the line.
You were not made for comfort. You were made for war.
What Is At Stake
If you think this is about you, you have missed the point. Souls are on the line. Generations are watching. Your city is hanging in the balance. And you want to quit because things got hard?
Get up. Wipe your face. Fix your armor. And hold the line.
Because someone is watching you. Someone is waiting for you to show them what it looks like to walk in power. Someone is waiting to see if there really is a God who answers by fire. And if you quit, they will never know.
You do not get to be passive when eternity is at stake. You do not get to be silent when truth is being strangled in the streets. You are the answer to someone’s cry.
So stand.
Do Not Wait to Feel Brave
You do not need to feel brave to be dangerous. Half the time I step out, I do not feel anything but raw obedience. But that is where power lives. Not in feelings. In obedience.
God is not looking for superstars. He is looking for people who will say yes with no plan B. He is looking for people who have burned the ships and thrown away the safety net. People who refuse to move, even when it costs them everything.
So stop asking God to use you if you are still entertaining the idea of quitting. Stop singing about being refined if you are not willing to feel the flames.
Hold the line.
The Call to the Warriors
If you have been hit, get back up. If you are tired, press deeper. If the devil knocked you down, punch back harder.
Do not let your scars shame you. Let them prophesy. They speak of a warrior who did not quit. A son or daughter who bled and kept going. A vessel who said yes, again and again and again.
This is not a time to retreat. This is the hour where God is separating the casual from the consecrated. The anointed from the comfortable. And I am telling you now, if you will hold the line, you will see things that will shake the earth.
Miracles.
Resurrections.
Cities bowing to the name of Jesus.
But you must not move. You must not flinch. You must not let the arrows make you forget the victory.
Final Word
I did not come here to inspire you. I came to ignite you. I came to stir something in you that remembers you were born for fire. Born for war. Born to shake kingdoms.
So here is your word. Hold the line.
Not because it is easy, but because it is right.
Not because you feel strong, but because He is strong in you.
Not because you have something to prove, but because you have nothing to lose.
Jesus gave everything. And now He asks everything.
This is the call.
This is the price.
This is the war.
And we win.
Now go.
Stand your ground.
And hold the line.
