Koinonia

The Glory That Makes Us One
There is a unity coming that man cannot manufacture It is not built on agreement compromise or strategy It is not a movement not a denomination not a coalition of like minded people deciding to work together It is something far more dangerous
It is glory born
Koinonia is not church fellowship It is not a potluck It is not shaking hands and pretending to like the people sitting next to you on Sunday It is a supernatural joining a knitting together of hearts by the fire of God’s presence until what was separate becomes one
It is the unity that Jesus prayed for in John 17 The unity that hell cannot stop The unity that only happens when men and women are melted down in the presence of God until their identities are no longer separate but fused in Him
It is the unity of glory
And it is coming
The Age of Plastic Unity is Over
For too long we have settled for an artificial version of unity A version that looks good from a distance but crumbles the moment pressure is applied A version that allows us to keep our egos our control and our comfort intact
We have tried to unify through tolerance through agreement through efforts to be inclusive And what has it produced Weak divided churches Ministries more focused on protecting their brand than building the body A people who gather in the same spaces but live in isolation protecting their own ambitions refusing to be truly known
That is not koinonia That is a performance
True unity does not happen because people decide to be unified It happens because they are consumed by the same fire
The glory that You have given Me I have given to them that they may be one even as We are one John 17 22
Jesus did not say I have given them good doctrine so they can be one He did not say I have given them similar interests so they can be one He said I have given them glory Because glory is the only force strong enough to take independent selfish fearful people and crush them down until they emerge as one body one heart one spirit
Unity is not a work of man It is a work of fire
And when the fire comes everything false burns
The Glory Will Force the Divide
There is a reason we do not see true koinonia in most churches There is a reason people sit in the same buildings for years and never move beyond surface level relationships There is a reason churches split over offenses egos and power struggles
Because they have not been baptized in glory
When the real presence of God descends people either bow or they run They either yield or they resist They either burn or they hide There is no middle ground
And that is exactly what is about to happen
A dividing line is being drawn in the church Not between conservatives and progressives Not between traditionalists and charismatics The line is between those who will surrender to the fire of koinonia and those who will cling to the illusion of their own autonomy
The Father is done with shallow community The age of spectator Christianity is over If you want the real thing it will cost you
Because real koinonia demands death
You cannot keep your pride and have unity You cannot keep your self protection and have unity You cannot keep your fear your entitlement your independence and have unity The moment you try to preserve yourself you step outside of oneness
This is why Jesus had to give us glory in order for us to be one Because without the consuming fire of His presence we would never let go of the things that divide us
But when the glory comes pride dies When the glory comes offense loses its power When the glory comes men and women who should have nothing in common become one because they have all been crushed by the same weight
This is not friendship This is fusion
Koinonia is the Death of the Individual
The early church walked in a level of unity that terrifies the modern church
Acts 4 32 Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and one soul and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own but they had everything in common
This was not a group of people who liked each other This was a people so immersed in the same presence that ownership itself became meaningless
Mine became ours
Not because of rules Not because of church programs Because when glory fills a house division becomes impossible There is no me left There is no mine left There is only us
And that is the unity the enemy fears
This is why the spirit of religion works so hard to keep people disconnected To keep church at a distance To keep relationships shallow Because the moment we step into true koinonia we become unstoppable
Satan does not fear a room full of Christians He fears a body a people who move as one burn as one fight as one love as one A people so consumed by presence that nothing can divide them
A Generation That Will Be One
Jesus did not pray for unity as a suggestion He decreed it That they may be one even as We are one This is not optional It is not a secondary issue It is the very thing that determines whether the world will see Jesus or not
Because Jesus said the world will know Him when they see our oneness John 17 21
Not when they see our ministries Not when they see our events When they see Him in us
This is why the Father is releasing a baptism of koinonia A baptism of fire that will drive us out of individualism and into divine oneness It will be uncomfortable It will be costly It will demand that we lose everything that separates us
But in that place we will find something we have never known
The glory of the Father dwelling among a people who have truly become one
The world has never seen a church like this
But they are about to
