Stop Fighting for a Seat.

You Are Already Seated
There is a disease of striving that has infected the body of Christ. People are exhausting themselves trying to earn a place at a table that they were never meant to beg for. In ministry, in business, in relationships, there is a hunger for recognition, influence, and approval that reveals something much deeper. It reveals a misunderstanding of identity.
Many have bought into the lie that their worth is tied to their position. They believe that if they could just get in the right rooms, sit with the right people, or have their voices heard at the right table, then they will be validated. They are wrestling for something that has already been given to them in Christ. This is the tragedy of an orphan spirit. When you know who you are, you stop fighting for what is already yours. You are already seated.
The Striving Mindset Versus The Seated Mindset
The world teaches that success comes through constant effort, proving yourself, and forcing your way into spaces of influence. People are told to fight for recognition, to make themselves seen, and to secure approval at any cost. This is the striving mindset. It disguises itself as ambition, but its roots are in fear. Fear of being insignificant, fear of being overlooked, fear of never having enough.
But the kingdom of God does not function by striving. It functions by seated authority. Scripture says that God has raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms. This is not an idea or a metaphor. It is a spiritual reality that changes everything. If you are in Christ, you are already positioned with him in a place of authority, favor, and sonship. You are not in a fight to earn a seat. You are in a fight to remain in the truth of where you already are.
The Table You Do Not Have to Beg For
Psalm twenty three says that God prepares a table before you in the presence of your enemies. Pay attention to what that means. The table is not set by men. It is not determined by popularity, human connections, or social status. It is prepared by God himself. It is placed in the presence of enemies, which means no opposition can take it away from you. No human approval can grant it, and no human rejection can cancel it.
When you are seated in beloved identity, you stop knocking on doors that God never assigned to you. You stop chasing platforms that require you to compromise your convictions. You stop performing for applause and start walking in the authority of a son. Sons do not beg for seats. They take their place.
Jesus Did Not Strive. Why Are You
The greatest example of a seated life is Jesus himself. Scripture says that though he was in the form of God, he did not consider equality with God something to be grasped. He was not striving to prove who he was. He did not spend his life chasing validation from people. Even when he was rejected, misunderstood, and falsely accused, he never fought for human approval because he was fully secure in his relationship with the Father.
If Jesus did not need to prove himself to be accepted, why do you.
This is where the enemy keeps many trapped. He convinces them that they must work to be seen, hustle to be valued, and fight to be included. He tempts them to believe that if they just had more influence, more resources, or more recognition, then they would finally be secure. But in the kingdom, there is no hustling for favor. There is no striving for approval. There is only being seated in the one who has already secured it all.
The Freedom of Being Seated
When you stop fighting for a seat, you start walking in true freedom.
You no longer measure your worth by how many doors open for you.
You no longer fear rejection because rejection cannot remove you from where God has already placed you.
You no longer waste time trying to impress people who do not have the authority to determine your destiny.
Being seated in beloved identity means resting in the truth that you are already accepted, already called, already chosen. It means you do not have to manipulate circumstances or force opportunities. Your life is not in the hands of men. It is in the hands of the one who seated you.
Take Your Seat
So stop striving. Stop trying to prove what has already been settled in heaven. You are not an outsider trying to get in. You are a son or a daughter who is already positioned in Christ.
Take your seat. The fight is over.
